Heya,

It looks like some people have their characters ready for something to happen, but are kind of waiting for a story to participate in.

I was wondering, can we write stuff in other people's threads that don't involve our characters? Like, if somebody's an assassin and they're infiltrating a high-tech building, but there's no other players there, and nothing is happening, could I write something where the guards suddenly enter unexpectedly?

I don't really have a problem with either, but only if the players in the thread you're joining are fine with you doing it. Oh, and could you add a note to your post to say what you're doing?

Actually what you suggested makes much more sense in that situation than just having you're character show up out of nowhere. Good idea.

Actually I meant that you should mention in your post that your not playing with your character. Even if you just mention the person's name that your using that should be fine, it's just these tricky things could confuse some people. But not me, obviously :).

I disagree with the excess of heroes here. Nightclash is about as evil as he can be, and I'm not sure exactly where James Aleth, Black Cat or Madman are standing. But yes you can create super powered NPCs. If you are actually playing with them the normal character creation rules apply, but if they are merely interacting with your character feel free to make them as powerful as you like. I have no problem for example with you creating a Galacticus level enemy and making a thread where you save the world.

Also I have just created a new area in the communicating board for books, newspaper, etc. It's called the library (it's a tribute James, don't hurt me), if you feel like creating a profile for a super whatever then you're free to do it there. Then perhaps other people will use your creation.

Also (again) there is a competition going on, and it will probably never be resolved at this rate, to design the most powerful superhero in the world. Once that's out of the way there will probably be a similar one for villains.

you can post as NPC's, but you HAVE to make note in your post that it is a NPC and not you.
and you need permission from thread starter yes?
