There are dozens of different factories in the city, producing all sorts of different things. There is a chocolate factory, several clothes factories and a weapons factory, among others.

| Smelter
Where ore is taken to have the metal removed and purified. The facilities in this city mostly concentrate on iron, which is used in shipbuilding, but there are also extensive aluminium works. Molten metal everywhere, what's not to like?

| Car Production Line
A major global car manufacturer has its Nexus City headquarters here. A large number of local and international subsidiaries send parts here to be assembled by robots.

| Abandoned Factories
A long time ago these buildings were used to produce a steady stream of manufactured goods. But one day it became too unprofitable to upgrade them to match more modern facilities and they were abandoned. Then the rats moved in and they slowly faded into the past.

| Scrapyard
A towering pile of metal, mostly in the form of cars and machinery. What can be reused is stripped off, and the rest is scrapped.

| Rail Yard
Where trains are kept when not in use: at night, or when retired in the case of older trains, which rot in dingy sheds. The area is covered with tracks that go in different directions, and the trains themselves are kept under lock and key. The area is fenced with tall, wire topped fences.

| Power Plants
There are two power plants in Nexus city, both within a kilometre of each other, well outside the city limits. One is a coal-fired plant that has been running for many years. The other is a smaller nuclear power plant, which is on an extended trial run. Neither of the plants can provide enough power for the entire city, however the coal power plant can provide for far more than its counterpart.

| The Dump
The dump is a massive, barren blight on the face of the city. Mounds of rubbish climb are piled up by bulldozers as hordes of seagulls hover overhead, looking for a meal. In twenty years or so, when the city fully swallows the dump it will be covered over and turned into a park. Then a new dump will be created outside the city limits.

| Mechano's Workshop
Mechano captured the attention of Nexus city in 1997, when hundreds of robots under his control went on a crime spree and killed two superheroes. Mechano was subsequently captured and later killed by a fellow inmate in the downtown prison. The workshop where he produced his robots has mostly been stripped bare by now.
