 Vallani’s anguish
« Thread Started on Mar 11, 2008, 10:26am »

Vallani sat quietly, looking up at the ceiling of the massive abandoned factory. This would be a perfect place to brush aside the cobwebs and start training again. She hadn’t forgotten anything. Frozen doesn’t erase the past. She still had memories of her father and grandfather, dying.
She stood and took up a stance. Her wings unwrapped and shone bright as they took their form. She would carry on fighting the Gundaui way. She would one day return and take back her peoples planet.
She twisted the golden bracelet to the left. The Sword Obis appeared in her hand. Her father’s sword, the sword of control. She rose off the ground. Half way to the ceiling of the factory.
“Come and get me.” Vallani said aloud hoping somebody would hear.

OOC: All the people I write about in this thread are not my character. They're just NPCs, anyone can use them.

"Ow, Jesus." said Adam. The wire mesh fence pulled back easily enough, but it was sharp where it had been cut and his cheek leaked a small drop of blood before quickly clotting.
"Be careful, you idiot" Brett said. He'd already gotten through the fence with no problems. Of course, Adam didn't really want to be here, so it was just like him to hurt himself. That way he had more of a right to complain.
"I still think we should have just gone to the movies" Adam said, dusting himself off as he stood up, wincing and making a big deal out of the little scratch. Brett rolled his eyes and walked through the shrub-spattered clay courtyard towards the abandoned factory.
"Oh my god, movies are boring!"
"Movies are boring?" Adam caught up with a few jogged steps.
"Yeah, they all suck. And why waste ten bucks on some hollywood steaming pile when you can check out an abandoned factory for free?" Bret stepped up to the side door and pulled the rusted handle. It made a terrible squeak, but it wasn't locked. He turned to Adam and grinned.
"I don't know if we should be doing this." Adam said, looking around to see if anybody was around. Of course, there wasn't, he was just being jumpy.
"Hmm. Maybe you're right." Brett teased. "We'd better find out." He pulled the sqeaking door open and ducked inside, turning to give Adam one last grin.

Adam waited outside for a moment, considering whether to leave Brett there. He'd probably get bored and just leave if Adam didn't go along. He might even meet up with him and join him for the movies.
"Hey!" he heard Brett calling out "Is there anyone here? Should we not be tresspassing in this abandoned factory?" That was just like Brett. Adam rolled his eyes. But then he heard Brett give a yelp of surprise. "Holy crap!"
Adam bolted inside and found Brett standing in the middle of the factory, staring up at the dirt-stained glass windows high above them. For a moment, he couldn't tell what had caught Brett's attention, then he saw it. Or her, to be more precise. The hottest bikini-clad woman he had ever seen.

And she was flying.

"Holy crap" he repeated.

Vallani looked down, seeing the two teenagers. She hadn’t expected to see anybody that wasn’t of any strength. Vallani spoke, her voice floated through the air.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” She asked she didn’t really care. She could tell they were of no strength. They were of no threat to her. Only to themselves.
Vallani touched the ground. Still holding the sword of control, sword Obis
“You boys like what you see?” She asked. The one with the scratch on his face reacted first and VAllani quickly lunged forward with one quick step. The sword Obis heading straight for him.
The blade entered his body, blood ran from his left shoulder, just above his heart. The blade was cold to the touch. Vallani spoke once more. The other boy shaking.
“Strength Received. Loyalty Given. Fight for Me.” The words left her mouth with a difference. They didn’t float the sunk. The evil in her voice. The blades inscriptions shone blue.
She slowly drew the sword from her new slave. She closed he eyes for a second, they open blacker than the night sky. Vallani was in a trance like state, a state of control, The blood stopped flowing from the wound. It had healed. Even the scratch on his cheek.
“ADAM…. Kill him, kill Brett.” Vallani had taken control of Adam all his memories, his knowledge was hers.
Adam walked toward Brett. He picked up a piece of pipe off the ground. His eyes were a glaze. Like he was blind, they were a haze of blue. The sword Obis had done its job. Adam started to run towards Brett.

Bret ran.

Swirls of dust kicked up as he bolted through the dry yard, back towards the fence they had crawled through. A quick glance behind him showed his friend was close behind, with cold eyes and a hefty pipe. Bret scrabbled about the fence, looking for the spot at the fence post where he could pull it back and escape. It wasn't there!

He looked right. Of course, it wasn't here, it was three posts up. But he barely had time to recognise this before Adam was apon him. Adam swung the pole with all his strength, hitting Bret in the side. Bret screamed and fell to the ground. The pain was terrible, but he knew that Adam would kill him if he let himself lay there and give in to the pain. As his chest touched the ground he pushed himself up with his arms and launching himself into a run towards the gap in the fence. Adam swung the pole again, catching Bret in the leg, but the boy kept running, limping.
He sprinted with all his energy. He gave it everything he had. Sweat beaded on his forehead and dripped off in the short time it took him to reach the gap. He pulled back the wire and turned for just a moment to see how far behind Adam was.

Adam wasn't there. He looked around frantically, and screamed. There was Adam, standing to the right of him, holding the pole above his head. Adam swung and hit Bret cleanly in the head. Everything went black for Bret. Adam swung again.

The police arrived an hour later after recieving reports of an attack. They found Adam, still standing there, still swinging. The wet smacking sound echoing through the yard.
